About Our Riders
Ashtyn Beard (Yoshi)
Ashtyn has been called him Yoshi since he was 2 because he would not let anybody else have the Yoshi character.
When he rides, he’s insane. One race, his shoelace got wrapped so tight around his crank/pedal that it literally ripped apart when he crossed the finish line.
He broke his collarbone on Mother’s Day 2024. Then exactly 4 weeks later, on Father’s Day, he jumped back on his bike, clipped in, looked back at Tina, and said he was gonna take it easy because the doctor only cleared him if he didn’t crash—otherwise surgery, no question.
He went out there, locked in, gated everybody, and held the whole lap until turn 3. He only dropped back one spot because he didn’t have the stamina yet after being out for 4 weeks. We kept him on the trainer, but we couldn’t really do much with his upper body.
Every year, Ashtyn gets faster every race
Jayden Beard (Twister)
Jayden entered the world under extraordinary circumstances, born just as a rare winter tornado touched down in Poplar Grove in January. Mother Nature continued this dramatic trend for his milestones, delivering a massive 18-inch snowstorm on his first birthday and bitterly cold, arctic temperatures on his second. It seems every year brings a new meteorological twist to his birthday, making his celebration a memorable event for everyone involved.
Jayden is a rockstar both on and off the track. When he is not racing, he is always giving back—whether he is teaching the little kids how to pedal, helping riders master clips, or working one-on-one with teammates on their pumping technique. He is also a huge help in staging, keeping everything moving by calling out chutes. On the track, Jayden is famous for his wicked-fast snaps right out of the gate. He always keeps the team laughing with a great joke, but he also stays true to his values, always being the first to pause and say a prayer before a meal. Right now, Jayden is focusing on his next big chapter, pursuing a career with the Army National Guard.
