Ashtyn has been called him Yoshi since he was 2 because he would not let anybody else have the Yoshi character.

When he rides, he’s insane. One race, his shoelace got wrapped so tight around his crank/pedal that it literally ripped apart when he crossed the finish line.

He broke his collarbone on Mother’s Day 2024. Then exactly 4 weeks later, on Father’s Day, he jumped back on his bike, clipped in, looked back at Tina, and said he was gonna take it easy because the doctor only cleared him if he didn’t crash—otherwise surgery, no question.

He went out there, locked in, gated everybody, and held the whole lap until turn 3. He only dropped back one spot because he didn’t have the stamina yet after being out for 4 weeks. We kept him on the trainer, but we couldn’t really do much with his upper body.
